Masjid Quba: The First Mosque in Islam

A Place of Great Spiritual Rewards
Visiting Masjid Quba is a highly rewarding act of worship. The Prophet ﷺ said:
Allah ﷻ also praises Masjid Quba in the Qur’an:
﴿ لَمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَقُومَ فِيهِ ۚ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ ﴾
(Surah At-Tawbah 9:108)
“There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy for you to stand in. In it are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves.”
