Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its presence in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with the development of three new hotels as part of the Thakher Makkah megaproject. The project, a significant metropolitan advancement, includes Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher City Tower East, Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher City Tower West, and Radisson Hotel Makkah Thakher City, all slated to open by the final quarter of 2022. Despite pandemic-related challenges, the team remains determined to complete the project on schedule.
Makkah, located approximately 70 km southeast of Jeddah, holds a significant place in Islam as the holiest city. Renowned for the annual Muslim pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah, it attracts millions of visitors annually. This project is designed to support the city in accommodating the high influx of pilgrims and travelers throughout the year.

Highlights of Radisson’s Trio of New Makkah Hotels
The Radisson Hotel Makkah Thakher City will feature 440 rooms, 206 amenities, a guest café, and an all-day dining restaurant. Additionally, separate men’s and women’s fitness centers will be available for relaxation. The hotel will include five meeting rooms and three event spaces. The Radisson Makkah Thakher City Tower West Park Inn will offer 203 rooms, a guest café, and a restaurant. Lastly, the Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher City Tower East will consist of 143 rooms, a dining area, and a lounge.
